While waiting for our first (and probably only) ever visitors to arrive in Mt Isa I tackled a tree stump that had been bugging me in our yard… a task that I thought would take me most of the afternoon to remove only took about 5 minutes and then Jesse, as any sane boy would, proceeded to play in the hole so I spent the rest of the afternoon taking photos LOL!

With Lalo’s help we removed the metal pole that was mysteriously in there also and soon enough our visitors had arrived. Yippeeee!!
Paul, Sarah and the boys arrived on Saturday evening after a LONG 6 day drive through corner country, across three states and mostly dirt roads. Before I continue let me just say this trip could easily be done in 2-3 days on bitumen road but this adventurous family likes to do things the hard way *wink* and we wouldn’t have them any other way!
The boys played beautifully all week while Sarah and I caught up and simply hung out. Seeing as Lalo worked through the week Paul kept himself busy and even indulged us a couple of times by looking after the boys while the girls went for some much needed retail therapy. A few evenings were spent playing games and of course scrapping but there’s never enough hours in the day (or night) to get much done when you have four boys under four in the house!

The Theakston’s seemed to enjoy their stay with us, happy to just see the main sights and spend the rest of the time hanging out sharing meals together & relaxing. Too soon it was time to wave goodbye and watch their jam-packed Hilux drive away for the last time…. Or so I thought as the cheeky family came back about an hour later with some nice pressies for us, Sarah just had to get some last minute retail therapy of course!
The house was so quiet and empty…chirp, chirp...*insert sad face here*
It was always our intention after this well anticipated visit to put Jesse in a Big Boy bed so rather than beating around the bush Lalo disassembled the bunk in the guest rom and Jesse is no longer a cot dweller of a night but is in his own single bed! Now my baby is really growing up sob, sob...*insert sad face here too*!!

Well I suppose I have rambled on enough, I’ll post some layouts here soon too when I have some more time…
Hey Carol nice to see the update (although i know I can't talk). It is always great to have visitors, and it sounds like your guys had a great time. Wow doesn't your little man look so grown up in his bed.
