We're back!

After two weeks of purposely keeping myself away from a computer while on holidays i have a lot to catch up on so the updates will be posted in chapters in order of appearance :) Here's a rough overview but i dare say i'll be revisiting some parts of the trip as i go through my photos :)

The purpose of our trip was a friend's wedding of course but i had to make plans on the way so as not to waste the opportunity of a trip through Brisbane! On our 5hr stopover a few of the SoF girls who reside in Brisbane made the trip to the DFO to meet with us, it was a real treat to meet them in real life and put a voice to the faces i'd been talking to for such a long time now!

The rest of the first week was spent in two halves... Lalo speding time with Frank as the best man should do and me... occupying myself with shopping and kidlets as a dutiful wife and aunty should do LOL

Then of course there was the wedding which was beautiful on all accounts, the bride looked stunning, the groom scrubbed alright (almost as good as the best man *wink*) and the weather was great for a Semptember day in Canberra!

The second week was rush rush rush to see and do everything we had to do before coming home, namely shop during the day and then visit everyone who wanted to see us of an evening. Of course we NEVER get to see everyone we would like to see but there's always next time...

We managed to spend some time with Lalo's parents who made the 2hr trip to see us for a day, muchly appreciated :)

and then some time with Lalo's sister & her kids for the cousins to get reacquainted... they had a ball!!

Jesse enjoyed spending time with Ruthie, and everyone else enjoyed spending time with him too...

so on all sides so it was bittersweet to watch as i know we live so far away and those times are so few and far between but if this is how God would have then who am i to argue?
