Home sweet home

Three weeks away and boy is it nice to be home… The chores, the heat (and subsequently swollen ankles) but at least my own space, car and my own bed!!

There are a few highlights of our trip that I’d like to share but I’ll have to break it up into the four legs of our journey so it’s easier for me and you to read too I suppose.

Leg One- Carol & Jesse go to Canberra 1 week ahead of Daddy…

Jesse was great on the plane as usual; I still find it amazing that a 3yro can already have a jet setting lifestyle every 6-12 months! I also praise God for allowing us to afford these trips in order to see our family once or twice a year.

We arrived on Monday and were off to see the Wiggles in Concert on Wednesday…

Ruthie & Jesse were mesmerised by these celebrities and danced, wiggled and sang for the duration of the show.
Then on Saturday we left the rainy weather behind us in Canberra and we made our way to the coast, with Tata & the family. Jesse was reacquainted with his grandparents and his pint sized uncles that as I said before he only sees once or twice a year. He particularly took a real shine to Matt (11yo) and shadowed him the whole time we were there “Mummy…I LUB Matt” he would say every few minutes LOL!
Together we all went to the local wildlife park and all took a chance at holding a snake… yes even Jesse!!

Soon it was Christmas Eve and Lalo was arriving in Canberra and SUPPOSEDLY staying the night there before heading out early next morning to be with us at the coast 2.5hrs east. Luckily for us he couldn’t help himself and drove that same night… got lost due to being given wrong directions (NOT BY ME!!) but eventually made it safe and sound but very tired.

Christmas came and went; too much food was had and too many presents & toys were given and received but most of all it was about family and being together, celebrating Christ’s birth with each other.
