Yes, 7 days till we actually have a visitor coming to see us here in the Isa *happy dancing* My little brother is taking precious time from his uni holidays to come all the way from Melbourne up here to see us :) It kinda all started with my usual joke "when are you gonna come and see me?" always expecting the usual 'oh, but... it's so far, expensive, too difficult for us... this that and the other' anyways, my little brother is coming! Jesse is starting to plan things too for when he comes, like 'we can draw together, and i can show him ALL my toys outside' LOL! I do believe though that he gets Juan confused with my other brother Alf... obviously coz we only see them so rarely so the photos get pointed to regularly, so guys i need RECENT photos please!!!
So when he gets here Lily will be held by one of her many uncles for the first time! This is kinda bittersweet considering she'll be almost 6 months when anyone else in the family holds her:( But hey... as long as they're sending her love *wink*
Cant wait till you get here little bro!

On the Lily front things are going according to schedule LOL! Three hourly feeds during the days have led to full nights sleeps as of last friday, YIPPEE!! So while it's still not EVERY night she does 8-9 hours it is more often than not so not long before it is the norm. Smiles are also more prominent which is so cute of course...
and she's also shown clear signs that she can recognise Daddy's voice (like when he walked into her room when she was barely whinging and he spoke, she broke into a full fledged sobbing cry!)Yep, a Daddy's girl from the onset! And he's not one bit bothered by it of course! LOL

On a much sadder and frustrating note... My beautiful engagement ring I received as my 10yr anniversary/birthday gift (to replace the first ring that was lost in the move to Mt Isa) has met an uncertain fate also :( It somehow fell out of my pocket while the wedder stayed in *insert baffled face here*. The good news is that it has to be on this block somewhere as i never left the grounds, just out to hang some clothes and back in but all the places we've looked have given us no joy :( Still praying it turns up... I have a niggling feeling this is a God orchestrated thing, not that i blame him as it was me who put the ring in my pocket rather than on the microwave like i usually do but i *know* in some way He will be glorified by this little incident whether i find it or not "and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."Romans 8:28

Excited for you Caroline that your brother is coming to visit. I know what it is like getting family to come NORTH to visit - until my middle sister moved to Emerald this time last year it was about 7 years since they had been up to visit - now we see them more often. That is also a gorgeous photo of Lily - love how her whole face lights up. STill praying that you find your engagement ring - like you said it has to be there somewhere and I am praying that God will reveal to you just where to find it.
ReplyDeletehurray for me coming to visit!!!
ReplyDeletehurray for seeing all of Jesse's toys outside, and drawing with him!!
Hurray for cooking with Carol!!
Hurray for playing soccer games with Lalo!!!
On a different note, that's my favourite verse in the whole bible :) It's just like I always say: Everything always works out for the best...
That is exciting about your bro! I know how it feels to not get visitors..I lived a short while in Hughenden, now living in another small town!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find your ring...maybe someone has a metal detector???
