So we now descend upon the Field Family Residence and are introduced to the lovely Cook Family, of whom we’ve heard much about but had never met. Don’t worry Leisa, it’s mostly been good stuff *wink*.
After a quick run down of the Christmas happenings we head over to one of the beaches the Field’s frequent, Tara with surfboard in hand Jesse with his trusty bucket… Alas there are absolutely no waves for Tara to show off her recently learnt skills, Jesse however was happy to put his bucket to good use.
I dare say he won’t be getting away with this as the teen years hit!
And while Leisa tries her hand at surfing or at least staying on the board I put my camera to good use too…however the photos seem to have gone astray so maybe I used Ro’s camera for these?
The hermit crabs were happy to pose for me though…
Once we head back to our home for the next few days (Tara’s room) I find the gorgeous fine sand of this part of the coast has made its way into unmentionable places… So after a quick yet thorough shower for all we dine and start it all again in the morning.
Next couple of days involved a spot of shopping, Anne of Green Gables moments...
more beach outings
and a picnic at the park…
The hostess with the mostsest did a wonderful job of entertaining us even going as far as baking a Lemon Meringue Pie for her guests...
I meant to take a pic of the finished product but... we ate it LOL!
On our last day there, while Lalo packed the car Ro, Leisa and I snuck out to Berry to meet a few of the local SoFer’s for a spot of coffee & retail therapy.
Good food, good friends what more could you ask for?

Is that picture of me cooking a payback for the one of you apple(potato) swirling on my blog??? Coz I removed it...really...I did...check!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your visit. Gracie now says "no" with a distinctly Lalo accent. Go figure!
Nice photos... makes me want to go to the beach and make sandcastles!
ReplyDeleteCarol it was really lovely to finally meet you and your men.
ReplyDeleteYou are all just gorgeous. The Cook family had a great time meeting up with you all (Yes Ro! I am very sorry we gate crashed, but since we were in the area).
Very glad you arrived home safely. Looking forward to catching up with you again.
Take care of yourself before the little one arrives.
