AWOL

Yes it's been weeks since my last post and i know it's highly unlike me but hey... life gets in the way of my 'cyber commitments' thank goodness! *wink*

Only one MAJOR thing has happened in the last month that i haven't posted about and that is that i am now teaching scrapbooking classes at a local scrapbookng store.

The long story is that when i arrived here in Mt Isa this was on my heart to do and so i prayed and went to the LSS at the time with my stuff and she wasn't interested AT ALL This was a bit dissappointing but i didnt lose sleep over it as i figured it wasn't the right time as far as God was concerned.

Over a year has passed and a new shop has opened in town and i believe i have grown in my faith aswell as my scrapping (combining the two) so i believe I am a better witness now than i was a year ago and so God put it on my heart again to try at the new LSS. Off i go about 5 weeks ago, layouts in hand to show but not really expecting a different outcome from last time.

In fact i hadnt even prayed about it, just had the desire well up in me again and i prayed as i drove to the store more of a don't let it happen unless it's your will kinda thing.

I asked if they run classes and if so is she after a teacher, YES, YES, YES! She later told me she had already been told about me and my work and she was just waiting for me to come in and ask, in fact she had my number (i dont know WHO has gone before me) and was going to wait a few more months and if i didnt come in she was going to call me. She'd even been shown some of my work that's been in one or two of the magazines

The store currently has a beginner's class only and she's had names of people wanting something more advanced so that's where i come in as far as the owner's concerned... no pressure huh!

So i've been busy preparing classes and running two of them to date, i havent really scrapped much personally since starting but once i get into the swing of things it will all fall into place... until Lilibean makes her appearance of course LOL!

The ladies who have attended the classes so far have all been happy enough to rebook for the next class so that's a vote of confidence for me as i have never officially 'taught' any classes before. I just keep praying that God will use me in this area.

No photos to show for now but i have taken some of course just havent done anything with them LOL. Maybe the suspense will keep you checking in on me... then again maybe not :(
