Lalo thought he'd take us out to breakfast on Saturday morning seeing as Sunday breakky at Dom's wouldn't be an option for several reasons. Then we went to Kmart for a spot of shopping...(scrapping cart was on special *wink*) and then home for a relaxed afternoon. Once Jesse woke up the plan was to go out to the lake and test out the new camera...
Well... on the way to the lake I was led to believe that Lalo just had to drop off something at a friend's house and then off we'd go...As we pull up he suggested we all get out just to say hello... Of course by now i was more than suspicious!
As I walked into the room full of women and gorgeous pink parcels everywhere my beautiful friend Ali says "Welcome to your Surprise Baby Shower!" Needless to say i was floored and somewhat embarrassed as everyone was just looking at my reaction! I do of course LOVE surprises so after i picked my jaw up off the floor proceedings got under way with games & pressies and of course delicious food.
As one of the girls pointed out, all the blue that has ever been in the house has now been blanaced out by the pink i was going to be bringing home for this precious Lilibean LOL! What a blessing to have such a gorgeous group of Christian friends who are as eager to meet this little bundle of pink as we are!
Now even though i had the camera there i didnt even take any photos would you believe, i was very much in shock for most of the afternoon and just enjoyed the attention :)but here is a sample of what was given as i prepare for her arrival...
So eventually Sunday rolls around and the day started off more than suitably with breakfast in bed...
I only took the photo half way through breakky of course coz i was too cozy to get up LOL! Then Lalo & Jesse brought me a couple more gifts that I WASNT expecting, (after all i did have my camera already!) So that was complimented with a digital frame to display the pending photos... and a the game UpWords so Scrabble gets a bit of a rest LOL!
Then of course it was church time, with birthday wishes left, right and centre which is always nice :) and Lalo had organized lunch afterwards at a local club with friends. He'd even thought of the cake which we didn't even get to cut because we'd all ordered dessert with lunch! Luckily Chocolate Mud Cake keeps very well and our Bible Study group will be more than happy to help out with the disposal of it :)
So all in all I had a fantastic weekend..., wouldn't you say? Let me leave with a layout I sarted and finished somewhere in between all of the above...
