Yes it's true my loyal subjects, my little baby went from this
to this
in what seemed to me just a few short months! Of course there were exactly 12 months in between that transformation but it went just too quick for my liking!
We had a small party to celebrate the occasion, all our friends here have of course been part of her little life up to now so it was only fair she shared her cake with them- not that she knew what was going on of course!
It didn't look this pretty for long as you can imagine... Lily thought it would look much nicer all over her face...
...and by the looks of it she thought it tasted pretty yummy...
I think everyone enjoyed her company too...
I think a good day was had by all especially the birthday girl and right to the very end she smiled when she wanted to and NOT when mummy had the camera in her face! Hence the following family portrait...

WHAT??? she did not have a pettiskirt for the pictures?? Alas, we will have to work on that concept now so that she has something for her second birthday at least!
