100th Post!

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with some contest or something to celebrate my 100th post but the idea eluded me and i kept putting off posting anything! In desperation i turned to my usually less creative other half and lo and behold he came up with a brilliant idea! Here goes:

I would like you to track back your minds (or blogger's archives :P) and answer just 3 questions from my previous posts. Of course only the seriously determined (or deluded) will even care to respond to this challenge but at the end of it you will be greatly rewarded by something handmade by me. Those of you who know me will know my hobbies so lets start there...

1) What are my 4 main hobbies?

2) Name ONE of the three people/families that have come to visit us here in Mt Isa (they have to have stayed with us).

3)Where did i spend my birthday this year?

I realize there may be several of you that answer these 3 easy questions correctly so from the correct answers I'll get Jesse to pick out ONE name out of a hat. Of course there's also the very real possibility that no one will even bother to comment so if that happens I'll just sit here and wonder why i don't have any friends!

Be sure to leave you email address with your answers in the comments page :)

I will leave you with some pics I've taken in the last couple of weeks...

  1. WooHOO! I'm the first to comment, therefore I should get to win.

4 main hobbies, probably in order of appearance in your life are as follows:
    1. Cooking
    2. Photography
    3. Scrapping
    4. Bag making / general sewery

I was one of the three people/families who have visited and stayed with you in Mt. Isa, but that's probably a bit unfair so I'll name another - Pily.

Where you spent your birthday this year - I'm going to go out on a limb and say Cairns, since I know that it was your second-last big trip this year, and I think it was around that time of the year.

On another note, I think Jesse needs a haircut... his hair is LOOONG!

    Happy 100th!

    3) Scrap booking
    4) Sewing/making one-of-a-kind bags

  6. No No No! Unfortunately for those of you who have answered already all of your responses are incorrect, despite what the old blogs say. You see, things have changed dramatically for young Carolina since she has moved to the Isa. Namely her hobbies; she once loved to sew and cook, but now these things have become a chore. She has now thrown caution to the wind and taken to bush life like her kids have taken to that massive lollipop. So for information regarding the 'new' Carolina, ie. the correct answers to her little quiz, read on:

    1) Musician - started her own band "Karol and the Kazoos'", part-time super jillaroo, a little bit of boot scooting and a lot of pig shooting
    2) Lily - came to stay on the 25th April 2008, but has not bothered to leave yet (must like the food to much mmmm chocolate fudge)
    3) Despite her Latino Lover's apparent lack of creativity, that Stallion still managed to sweep her off her feet this year by taking her to the quaint little tourist mecca of Urandangi for her birthday! A Ringer's paradise!

Now Carol is afraid all her old friends will think that her new rural life is not as "cool" as her old one and understandably does not want to drop down any rungs on the prestigious Mt Isan social ladder. This information is highly sensitive and was leaked by an anonymous source and therefore this blog's writer can not be named. But it has been decided that if Carol can guess the author of this blog, she will receive a gift of her choice from www.kazoos.com/ *subject to regulatory approval =P

  7. Congratulations Carol! You have somehow, beyond comprehension, accurately guessed the anoymous blogger. For the benefit of your reading audience, the prize you have picked is a Chocolate Kazoo, which can be viewed at:

    http://www.kazoos.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=KK&Category_Code=CK1

Unfortunately, according to the terms and conditions of the competition and the appropriate regulatory approvals, your chosen prize, although well deserved, is unable to be delivered as it is a food product and therefore can not be imported from America. A token picture of a chocolate kazoo has been forwarded to you on behalf of the promoters of this competition for you to keep and cherish, you may wish to set it as your desktop wallpaper to remind you of your outstanding achievement.
