Just a short funny one...

The struggle these days is to convince my almost three year old that he is not ready yet to give up his day sleep purely because I'M NOT READY to give up those couple of hours in the middle of the day.

So most days I win and he sleeps and all is well and there is harmony... today was not one of those days unfortunately and try as i might to prove otherwise he wasnt budging yesterday or today! They say you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink... i guess there's also truth in that you can put them to bed but you cant make them sleep! Aaargghhh!

Anyways my post today isn't so much about my lack of peace for the day but more for the joys that still come out in the midst of it all.

After i had put Jesse to bed and roused on him ummm maybe for the hundredth time I once again walked into his room to see him playing... but here's the scene before me:

Jesse is sitting at the foot of the bed with his soft toys either side of him in a line and Jacob the monkey is sitting at the head of the bed up on the pillow with Jesse's play guitar around him.

"What are you doing" i ask and the matter of factly reply was "we're playing church, that's Stuart" pointing to the monkey (Stuart is one of the young guys musicians at church)!

There is no photo because i was trying to stay focused on the fact that i had been disobeyed yet AGAIN but in hindsight I wish I HAD taken a photo and THEN dealt with it LOL! Live and learn hey...
